Getcha popcorn ready! The ever electric Terrell Owens is joining the NFT craze, dropping not just one, but two(!!) collections of original digital artworks. The Hall of Famer has sought to create a hall of his own NFTs, delivering us the Terrell Owens NFT Gallery & Museum. This collection features the work of 7 different artists centered around some of the iconic wideout’s most famous moments from his career. Sure to be included are his Dallas Star celebration, his flying Eagles dance, and a whole lotta popcorn. The artists that worked with Owens on this project are as follows:
Blake Jamieson, Lorenzo Spano, Ken Karl, Tom Borowski, Jordan Spector, Naturel, and Lauren Taylor.
Be sure to expect a lot of 81. Not just Owens himself, but his jersey number appears often being the name of the gallery (81.gallery), the total editions of many of the tokens (81/81), and the starting bid price for auction (0.81 E).
The second of Owens’ NFT collections was all created by a single artist known as Spacecoupe. This collaboration is known as the Terrell Owens X Spacecoupe Trading Cards Collection. Citing Owens as the first ever hall of fame player to release his own set of NFTs, these tokens resemble traditional trading cards, each one commemorating Owens’ time spent with every team he played for in the NFL. Also included, and the biggest draw from the drop, are tokens for T.O.’s college career in Chattanooga, a signed custom trophy football (NFT), and 3 editions of Owens’ 81 wine.
As with many drops we have seen so far, many of these tokens come with physical memorabilia included as well. Depending on which NFT purchased, buyers may qualify to receive a signed football, signed bottle of wine, custom hoodies, and a meet and greet with Terrell Owens himself (via zoom).
Both collections are on auction through the weekend. Bid now at Opensea.io!
