The Manning football brothers dropped their own line of NFTs last week (read more) and things went well (doesn’t it always for this family?). Peyton and Eli nearly sold out their whole supply, save for a few of Eli’s Ole Miss tokens. So how did the sale shake out? And what exactly did people buy? First, a word from Peyton himself:

Great insights from The Sheriff. Without further ado, let’s check out what The Mannings have to offer in this collection. In all, they launched twelve different tokens; six as an open edition, meaning they will mint however many tokens that sell in a given period of time, and six exclusive collectibles that are mostly one of a kind. Beginning with the open editions:
Once In A Lifetime
The name says it all. This artwork was designed to show off the magnitude of the famous (infamous for New Englanders) David Tyree Helmet Catch. They could have practiced that play a thousand times week-in and week-out throughout the season and it still would not have happened quite like it did on that fateful Super Bowl evening. In a Game of Thrones-like army encampment scene, we see Eli, the archer with the weight of the world on his shoulders, shooting his shot into the chasm of destiny. The description is thus:
One of the most iconic plays in football history, the “helmet catch” unfolded just the way they wrote it up in the playbook, right? Not only does this piece of art tip its cap to another historic moment in the art world, it also serves as a tribute to the amount of work that went into that miracle play, showing it being meticulously built, wooden plank after wooden plank.

Seven editions were ultimately sold at $1,999 a piece.
Gold Standard
Half Woody from Toy Story, half legendary quarterback, this NFT makes a trophy out of The Sheriff, complete with his signature “OMAHA” audible call. Is there as recognizable a call in the NFL as Peyton’s?
It’s time to put Peyton’s signature call of “Omaha” on a pedestal and memorialize it with this one-of-a-kind trophy. Paying homage to his nickname of “The Sheriff” with the design, the pull-cord allows you to hear his game-changing bark over and over.

7 editions of this token sold for $1,999 each. Buyers of both of Micah Johnson’s artworks would be entered into a raffle to win a group virtual fifteen minute meet-and-greet with the The Manning brothers.
PeyTenn

Complete with a pun title, here we have the collectible paying homage to Peyton’s college career at the University of Tennessee. Peyton is widely regarded as the best QB in the history of the program and likely their best player of all time. This piece gives us The Sheriff (complete with badge) as a young deputy, donning his school’s orange and T logo. Littered around the composition are hidden recognitions of Peyton’s achievements as a Volunteer, including his total passing yards (11,201), total TDs (89), and a nod to his 1997 SEC Conference Championship and Game MVP Award. His passing statistics are all school records.
After Peyton Manning’s career at the University of Tennessee, no one was surprised that he went on to become one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. In this portrait, we see both personal references and impressive accolades that served as a foundation for one of the most prolific NFL careers.

Peyton’s ode to his collegiate career sold 6 editions at a healthy $1,499 price tag.
Ole Meli

Not to be outdone, Eli adds his own tribute to his college days. Also an incredibly successful college quarterback, Eli reminds us of his own accomplishments. Similar to PeyTenn, Ole Meli colorfully rattles off Eli’s stats, counting his 10,119 passing yards and 81 touchdowns. Throw in his Conference Offensive Player of the Year Award and we see a fuller picture of how similarly these brothers’ careers started.
Eli Manning followed his father to Ole Miss and blazed his own trail once he was there. This piece captures the essence of Eli’s collegiate career and what he meant to Mississippi as both a player and an ambassador of the school, from his impressive 81 career TDs to his nickname ‘Easy E’.

One Leap For Manning Kind

This is our celebration to the holy triumvirate that form the Manning Football Dynasty. Peyton and Eli tag-in father and patriarch (Patriarchie?), Archie Manning in this collectible. It all started with the elder Manning but this piece features so much more than just football. Here we see the biggest embrace of the Manning family we see in the whole collection. Not only do we see some familiar football motifs from other tokens, we also see titles like “Brother” and “Father”. This big family hug also shouts out brother Cooper and mother Olivia.
Family and football are intrinsically intertwined when it comes to the Mannings, and this piece is intended to show that connectivity. Featuring Archie, Peyton and Eli in their collegiate uniforms, it highlights how important the stage of college football was in their continued development. Those football images are surrounded by references to the game and also to members of their families. See if you can find them all.

Brothers First

This is one for the bros. They grew up together, they played in the NFL together, and now they’re dropping NFTs together. This token is all about the brotherly love. These guys have shared so much in their lives and they seem to be keen on sharing much more together. They even share an eye laser beam in this artwork. When you have a relationship like this one, what can’t you do?
Although Eli and Peyton were always fierce competitors on the field, they were first and foremost brothers the second they stepped off of it. From practicing as kids to being first-round draft picks and eventual champions, this dual portrait celebrates Peyton and Eli’s relationship through each step of their careers.

The brothers sold 5 editions of this token at $2,499 each. Collectors who purchased all four NFTs done by JK5 received a signed collectible by the siblings.
Now, for the real exclusive stuff:
A Place For All
Do it for the kids they say. Getting in touch with his philanthropic side, this NFT was done for an excellent cause championed by Peyton. As highlights of Peyton’s career flash on the screen of what looks like Lucas Oil Field, The Sheriff finds himself on the field creating what may be one of the top highlights of his life. The Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital opened in 2003. Proceeds from this particular token benefit the PMCH.
Since opening its doors in 2003, the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital has established itself as a nationally recognized full-service hospital and medical center that understands children don’t need just a little care, they need a lot of care. Providing opportunities and access for all children to be their best has been a tenant of the work Peyton Manning has done off the field throughout his life, and every patient who walks through PMCH’s doors feels that spirit. Proceeds from this piece of art will benefit the hospital. Learn more at www.peytonmanningch.org

Light At The End Of The Tunnel
Not far behind is Eli with his own charitable efforts. Here we see Eli walking through the tunnel onto the field at the Meadowlands, with a young friend by his side, highlights playing on either side of them. Eli is also an advocate for children’s health, working with Tackle Kids Cancer to raise funds for research and programs. Proceeds from this NFT benefit the foundation.
Eli Manning’s leadership, dedication and clutch performances on the field have inspired so many, but that’s far from the only place his legacy has been felt. A father of four, he is avidly involved in numerous causes that support children and children’s health, including Tackle Kids Cancer, a philanthropic initiative to raise money for pediatric cancer research and patient care programs. Working with the organization since its inception over five years ago, Eli has helped raise over $10M to date and will continue to build on that number with the proceeds from this piece.
