Cleveland Browns’ Safety Sheldrick Redwine dropping a single exclusive NFT

Cleveland (and former Cane) defensive back Sheldrick Redwine is working with M&G Collections to release a single NFT. Billed as the first token dropped by a Cleveland Browns player (and Cane alum by my count), this digital collectible is designed by Toronto based artist, Matt Santos. You can make your way to rarible.com here to place your bids. This auction is indeed active, though with no exact deadline specified. Let us take a look at the offering:

Following the traditional trading card format we have seen with a few drops already, this NFT is very much so aiming for that classic look. What is fun and a bit more unique to this particular piece is the appearance of Redwine in both his NFL Browns uniform, ball in hand (ballhawk!), and a silhouette of the player in his college uniform (did I mention he went to UM?), sporting the famous (or infamous depending on who you root for) Turnover Chain and holding up the 305. When the NFT flips over, we get what one may expect from a sports card. We get the usual stat box, showcasing Redwine’s productivity in the NFL so far through his two pro seasons. We also get a blurb about Redwine picking off Philip Rivers for his first interception and his playoff moment getting the better of Ben Roethlisberger. I am sure Redwine wishes he could play quarterbacks from the 2003 draft class every game.

The keepsake also comes with some exclusive benefits to whomever ultimately becomes the owner. In wanting to add a physical component, Redwine is including two tickets to a game and an on-field meet and greet (if fans are allowed back in stadiums and said fan is local) or an autographed jersey and virtual meeting if owner is not able to attend a game.
